What will you do ?

Cain and Abel the first generation of mankind.

Abel a farmer and Cain a Shepard.

Genesis 4:3-5

3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord.
4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

In the above passage the Bible in simple words clearly says,

Abel Brought the first lamb born,….gave the best part.

Cain brought some of his harvest…

There indeed is a lot of difference between “some” and “first born & best part“. Thi leads us to the question….What are you offering ? Some or First born ?

We also see that Cain gets furious as God reject him and his offering. Why was Cain furious when he knew that his offering was not the best one but just carelessly offering some offering…

Even though God rejects Cain. God doesn’t leave him alone he asks Cain….

Genesis 4:6

And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

God was indeed trying to reason with Cain for rejecting him. But looks like Cain was not ready to listen. What do you do when you are angry on someone ?

God didn’t stop there. He did continued to suggest ways by which Cain could get right with God.

Genesis 4:7

If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

If thou doest well, shat thou not be accepted ?

About sin : And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
